Review: Motherlove Diaper Rash & Thrush

Having had four babies I know a thing or two about diapers which means I also know a little bit about Diaper Rash. It is seriously one of those things that is not a matter of if, but rather when. Granted, regular and severe diaper rash may reflect poorly on the parenting abilities but for some, it is merely a sign of sensitive skin. Here's What I think: I have used a few different varieties of rash cream, salve, ointment, gel, lotion or whatever else they call it. Some are too greasy, others have too strong a scent to them, sometimes a very medicinal smell even. Over the holiday season my family took a 14 hour car trip to visit family. This is one of the times when diaper rash is very hard to avoid, because who wants to wake a sleeping baby to change them and then just put them - screaming - back into their carseat? Unless there has been an explosion, most people just want to motor on. I was so happy that this product arrived the day before we left on our trip and I had the forethought to put it directly into my purse. This salve by Motherlove is thick enough to provide the needed barrier without leaving my hands super greasy. And while it has a unique scent, it is pleasant and mild. This is the perfect product for the Organic Minded family, as well as a child that has very sensitive skin.
