Arnicare Gel to relieve the soreness from my C25K program (Review & Giveaway)

As I announced earlier this week, I have embarked on the endeavor of the Couch to 5K program. I am going strong still but my body is certainly letting me know that I am putting it to the test each day with a new ache or pain - mostly in my calves. When I got Arnicare Gel in the mail, I was eager to see how well it worked!

Arnicare Gel

 

Arnicare Gel has a cooling effect for fast pain relief. This non-sticky, non-greasy gel is quickly absorbed by the skin.

  

Uses:

 

Temporarily relieves muscle pain and stiffness due to minor injuries, overexertion and falls

Reduces pain, swelling and discoloration from bruises

 

Directions:

  Apply a thin layer of Arnicare Gel to affected area and massage gently as soon as possible after minor injury. Repeat 3 times a day or as needed.

 

Arnicare Gel is available in 1.5 or 2.6 oz tubes, in a Value Pack (one 2.6 oz tube and one 80-pellet multi-dose tube), or in a Twin Pack (two 2.6 oz tubes).

  

Active Ingredient:

  Arnica montana 1X HPUS*-7% – Trauma, muscle pain & stiffness, swelling from injuries, discoloration from bruising

*The letters HPUS indicate that this ingredient is officially included in the Homeopathic Pharmacopœia of the United States.

  

Inactive Ingredients:

• alcohol
• carbomer

Here's What I Think: I am not much of a lotion or gel or cream sort of person because I hate it when it's so greasy that it gets all over everything. So while I was eager to relieve the soreness in my calves and quads I wasn't looking forward to the mess. But I have nothing to worry about. The gel absorbed quickly into my skin and didn't leave a mess behind. I was happy to find that while I was still sore it did not last for as many days as it normally would and I was able to run at full capacity that much sooner.
